Stand Back, Y’all: Lamar Odom and Khloe Kardashian Are Messing With Texas

Lamar got traded to the Dallas Mavericks, so guess what? Yep: He and Khloe are moving. Woooo.

Khloe and Lamar

Kim Kardashian may not have been willing to move out of L.A. for her (ex) husband, but her sister Khloe doesn’t seem to have the same compunction: Her NBA hubby, Lamar Odom, has just been traded to the Dallas Mavericks.

We’ve known for a while that it was possible that Lamar, who has played for the Los Angeles Lakers since 2004, would get traded; why, though, remains something of a question. The Lakers blog at the L.A. Times speculated that it could be part of a “salary dump”—Lamar makes $17 million a year, which may have ultimately been deemed too costly by the team’s managers.

But whatever the case, Khloe seems to be down with the move. She Tweeted this immediately following the announcement:

Followed by this:

Which, by the way, was sandwiched around a Tweet about how she can’t quite figure out how Twitter’s new layout works—hence the “going back” to being excited. Her confusion apparently overtook the excitement for a moment there.

She also took a moment to respond to the rumor that the trade happened because of her:

So at least she’s demonstrating a somewhat realistic view of her star power. She did, however, also take the opportunity to break out some Scripture:

Just, y’know, in case we hadn’t already gotten that she’s cool with the great cosmic masterplan and all.

The Hollywood Reporter noted that it’s not clear how, if at all, Khloe and Lamar’s move will affect the boatloads of shows the Kardashians inexplicably have. Keeping Up With the Kardashians is based in L.A., but they’ve managed to get spin-offs up and running in just about every city a Kardashian is located in, so this may just be an opportunity for them to take over another town. Khloe and Lamar even have their own spin-off, oh-so-creatively titled Khloe & Lamar, which is currently shooting its second season. Though Khloe did say that she probably wasn’t the cause for the trade—and I do believe her on that—that’s not saying that she wouldn’t take advantage of being in a new city to further spread the Kardashian empire. Do we really to watch Khloe and Lam Lam mess with Texas? Not really, but that’s never stopped them in the past, so why on earth should it now?

Tell us: Is a Dallas-based Kardashian show depressingly inevitable?
